Three years after being taken first overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2008 NFL Draft, Jake Long is the highest ranked offensive lineman in the league according to a vote of his peers.
Long, who has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons at left tackle, came in at No. 28 among the top 100 players of 2011and was featured Sunday night on the NFL Network’s countdown. The 6-foot-7, 310-pound anchor of Miami’s offensive line is the third and final Dolphin to make the list, joining wide receiver Brandon Marshall (No. 61) and outside linebacker Cameron Wake (No. 63).
